Contest Yachts, formerly known as Conyplex BV, is a family run business in its third generation. They have been building sailing yachts in Holland since 1965. It all started with modest, but very popular cruising yachts like the Contest 25 of which 400 were built. Conyplex went on to establish a reputation for strongly built offshore boats such as the 35, 37 and 41 that sail well and have excellent interior layouts and superlative finish. The 1990's saw the launch of the sleek but rugged CS range which has proved a huge success with owners. The latest 44, 45 and 50 models signalled the launch of significantly faster,
infusion moulded, and significantly faster and closer winded, hull forms offering lighter weight but increased structural stiffness. Under the skin too Contest are known for their exemplary quality and attention to detail. They are now firmly in the top echelon of high specification, blue-water cruising boat builders with a range spanning 40 to 65 feet.
The boats are semi-custom built to the highest standards with in-house capability in all key manufacturing processes. Conyplex have a modern moulding, fit-out, painting and maintenance facility on the Ijselmeer at Medemblik, about an hour north of Amsterdam. The breadth of in-house resources enables the yard to offer, not only a very wide range of customisation possibilities, but also a complete refit,
refurbishment and winter storage facility which trades as Medemblik Yacht Services (MYS).

built to easily exceed the Cat A Ocean standard of the CE recreational craft directive.
